Using The Living Inquiries With Family Constellations To Work With Trauma

We humans are born into this world as extremely vulnerable beings. Equipped with such a developed and sensitive nervous system, no one, even in comparatively harmonious families, would be able to grow up without pain that leaves mental wounds. In addition, there are often unsolved traumas in the family that may automatically trigger us and show up in various forms of mental strain. Even if we are not exposed to abuse and we get our physical needs covered, our parents’ or grandparents’ displaced traumatic events can create a disruption in the psychic energy exchange between us and our loved ones. Examples might include a lack of being seen, heard and felt that makes us shut down or fight for contact; a sense of isolation, inner struggle and inability to reach out. These are patterns that we can carry with us all our lives without completely gaining hold of the dynamics. Our ancestors’ trauma turns into ours.

Epigenetic research now confirms that experiences of strong fear can create genetic changes that are inherited by descendants. Fragments of life experiences, memories and bodily sensations stemming from our ancestors can live on in our inner selves. It can be difficult to dissolve the inherited traumas as they, even in profound processes, do not resonate with our own experiences and memories.

Many years of experience with Family Constellations, and processes in my own life, have shown that to emotionally come into contact with our parents’ and grandparents’ unsolved traumas can be a strong catalyst that can liberate us from wounds stemming from family secrets. It creates flow in our enclosed energy, and opens us up for understanding and love.

Combining Living Inquiries and Family Constellations creates a powerful and effective synthesis. Family Constellations put us on the trail of the origins of inherited trauma, and Living Inquiries gives us the tools to explore in what way they live on in us, and how we might transform them in order to release enclosed energy and create peace.

In a small group we will explore and share our experiences around unhealed wounds and pains within our own family system. We will come into contact with our ancestors, our inner wounded child, and the love that dissolves all boundaries.

Such a group will naturally create a powerful field wherein everyone contributes to each other’s growth, and the whole is larger than the individual parts.

The course consists of three meetings, and everyone gets an individual session with me.

If this resonates with you, and you are motivated to start the New Year by exploring this theme with like-minded people in a small group, then please contact me for more information and registration.
